Ad listings were posted online to lease a property at 67 Clarence Street in the ByWard Market, where the Heart & Crown has been located for more than 30 years, but an agreement has been reached to keep the Irish pub in place, and the listings have been removed. Two listings were posted for the property to spacelist.ca by real estate brokers Marcus & Millichap, one for the lower level and one for the ground level. The listings have been removed. The legal listing firm Marcus & Millichap says Heart & Crown has a binding offer with the building’s landlord to remain in the space. CTV News has not yet received comment from the Heart & Crown. The bar is part of the ByWard Market’s Irish Village and serves Irish-inspired dishes, offers live music and plays domestic and international sporting events. According to the Heart & Crown’s website, the business has been at the Clarence Street location since 1992. There are two other Heart & Crown locations in Ottawa, one on Preston Street and one in Barrhaven, and the business also owns the Aulde Dubliner & Pour House in the ByWard Market.
