Cyclist struck by a vehicle in Vanier

A 25-year-old cyclist was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Ottawa’s Vanier neighbourhood.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a collision involving a cyclist at the intersection of St. Patrick Street and the Vanier Parkway at 11:40 a.m. Saturday.

An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson told CTV News Ottawa the cyclist was transported to the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for treatment.

The cyclist was wearing a helmet, according to paramedics.

Ottawa police are investigating.
