Ontario Provincial Police says it has launched a homicide investigation into an eastern Ontario death earlier this month. Officers responded to County Road 26 in Augusta Township on July 8 at 3:30 p.m. where a body was found deceased inside a home. On Tuesday, OPP said investigators have determined the death to be a homicide. Investigators say they believe it to be an isolated incident with no signs of a broader threat. An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been announced. The scene of the incident is located near the Town of Prescott.
