A transport truck and trailer were heavily damaged after striking a railway bridge in Oxford County on Sunday afternoon. OPP say the truck was travelling under the railway bridge on 17th Line in Zorra Township at about 1:15 p.m. on Monday when it collided with the structure. Police said signage warning of the bridge’s height restrictions was in place. The bridge was closed for several hours while representatives from CN and the Ministry of Transportation assessed the structure for possible damage. The road and bridge have since reopened. A 38-year-old London resident was charged with careless driving and disobey sign.
