Grey, wet, foggy Friday afternoon in Ottawa

The weather will be drizzly and grey in Ottawa this Friday.

A freezing rain warning was in effect for part of the morning. It ended just after 11 a.m.

School buses are running in Ottawa, but some are delayed, according to the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority.

Environment Canada’s weather forecast calls for a mainly cloudy day with a 40 per cent chance of drizzle changing to a 60 per cent chance of showers this afternoon.

Friday’s forecast high is 6 C, which is about four degrees warmer than average for this time of year.

There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers in the evening changing to a 30 per cent chance of flurries overnight, with a partly cloudy sky and a low of -4 C.

On Saturday, expect a mainly cloudy sky with a high of 0 C and a 30 per cent chance of flurries.

Sunday’s outlook is cloudy with a high of 2 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers or flurries.

Sun is in the forecast for Monday.
