CTVNewsOttawa.ca looks at what’s open and closed in Ottawa for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

OC Transpo

• OC Transpo buses and O-Train Lines 1, 2 and 4 will run on a regular weekday schedule.
• The OC Transpo Customer Service Centre at the Rideau Centre will be open on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• The OC Transpo Lost and Found at St-Laurent Station will be closed.
• Para Transpo will operate regular service on Tuesday

Ottawa City Hall/Client Services Centres

• All ServiceOttawa’s Client Services Centres at Ottawa City Hall, Ben Franklin Place, Orléans and the Metcalfe Client Service Centre will be closed.
• The Provincial Offences Court at 100 Constellation Drive will be closed
• The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed.
• The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed.
• The City of Ottawa Archives and Gallery 112 at the James Bartleman Centre will be closed.

Green bin, recycling and garbage collection

• The City of Ottawa says curbside green bin, recycling, garbage and bulky item collection will follow the normal collection schedule on Tuesday. There will be no change in collection all week.
• Collections of multi-residential recycling containers, bulky items and green bins will follow the normal collection schedule
• The Trail Waste Facility Landfill will be open on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Other city services

• All municipal child care centres will be closed
• All Ottawa community, recreation and cultural facilities will be open on Tuesday
• The Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, City Hall Art Gallery and Karsh-Masson Gallery at City Hall will be closed on Tuesday.
• The Ottawa Public Health Parenting-in-Ottawa drop-ins, dental clinics and Sexual Health Clinic and the Site program will be closed.

Ottawa Public Library

The Ottawa Public Library says seven branches will be open on Tuesday to provide “National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Learning and Action Space.” The following branches will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

• Beaverbrook, 2500 Campeau Drive
• Cumberland, 1599 Tenth Line Road
• Greenboro, 363 Lorry Greenberg Drive
• Main,120 Metcalfe Street
• Nepean Centrepointe,101 Centrepointe Drive
• Ruth E. Dickinson, 100 Malvern Drive
• St Laurent, 515 Côté Street

Canada Post

There will be no mail delivery on September 30.

Canada Post offices will be closed, but post offices operated by the private sector will be open according to the hours of service of the host business.

Service Canada/Service Ontario offices

All Service Canada offices will be closed on Tuesday for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The Ontario government says Service Ontario locations will be closed on Tuesday.

Shopping

All malls, stores and grocery stores are allowed to open on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
