60-year-old man seriously injured in Gatineau, Que. assault: police

A 60-year-old man is being treated for serious injuries after an assault in Gatineau, Que., according to police.

The Gatineau Police Service says officers were called to a home on Promenade Lakeview in the Aylmer sector at 6:15 a.m. Friday for an assault.

The victim was located at the scene with serious injuries and was cared for by paramedics.

Police say a suspect was arrested at the scene.

“A security perimeter has been erected to allow the analysis of the scene by investigators and crime scene technicians,” police said.

“Several people will be interviewed to determine the causes and circumstances that led to the events.”
