3 charged following report of man chasing someone with long gun in Pembroke, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say three people are facing a variety of weapon and drug charges following an incident in Pembroke Wednesday night.

Police were called to Victoria Street in Pembroke at around 10 p.m. on reports that someone armed with a long gun was chasing another person. Following a foot chase with officers, three people were arrested.

“During the incident, a firearm and ammunition were located and seized, along with suspected methamphetamine, ecstasy, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia,” police said.

“Police also seized a motor vehicle, bicycle and other items reported in earlier thefts and are continuing to investigate.”

A 38-year-old man is facing a long list of firearms charges, as well as uttering threats to cause bodily harm, drug possession and failing to comply with a probation order.

A second 38-year-old man is charged with four counts of drug possession, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a prohibited device and ammunition.

A 29-year-old man is charged with failure to comply with release conditions and possession of drugs.

No one was reported hurt.
