2 women taken to trauma centre following Hunt Club Rd. crash: Ottawa paramedics

Paramedics say two women suffered serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Hunt Club Road Monday evening.

The Ottawa Fire Services say emergency crews responded to the 1400 block of Hunt Club Road between Albion Road and Bank Street at approximately 7:27 p.m.

On arrival, crews found one vehicle had been hit from the side with one trapped occupant requiring extrication, firefighters said in a news release.

An extrication began with specialized tools to remove the woman from the vehicle. She was removed from the vehicle in just under 15 minutes.

Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Neil Martin says multiple units were sent to the scene.

Two women were assessed at the scene and transported to the trauma centre by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Both are in stable condition.

The Ottawa Police Service says there were no arrests and no charges have been laid.

Westbound Hunt Club Road was closed between Albion Road and Bank Street following the crash. The road has since reopened.
