Helicopter flypast Sunday supporting all-star game in Chatham

A CH-147F Chinook helicopter from the Royal Canadian Air Force is scheduled to do a flypast over Fergie Jenkins Field at Rotary Park in Chatham Sunday.

The flypast is in support of the Canadian Baseball League All-Star Game and is expected to start around 2:00 p.m.

The Royal Canadian Air Force ensures that flights are meticulously planned and closely monitored, with operations subject to weather and flying conditions.

The helicopter will operate at altitudes at least 500 feet above the highest obstacle on their route.

Officials warn flight activities may generate unfamiliar noise in the area.
