The Sudbury Youth Wellness Hub will welcome clients at its new location at 65 Larch on Oct. 5 in what is known as the Larch Medical Building. In three years, more than 20,000 visits have been recorded from youth seeking mental health and peer support, medical services and opportunities to participate in wellness and skill-building activities, the Hub said in a news release Wednesday. “The new, larger location of the Sudbury Youth Wellness Hub is a testament to the growing need for youth-focused services and supports in our community,” said Mark Fraser, chief executive officer at Compass, the network lead for the Sudbury Youth Wellness Hub. “Remaining in the downtown core allows us to continue the vital work we’re doing while expanding our reach and ensuring more youth have access to the support they need.” The opening also marks the wrap-up of the Youth Advisory Community’s ‘From Conversations to Connections’ series, a youth-led initiative focused on fostering dialogue, understanding, and meaningful connections. Youth can attend the grand opening from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 5 to learn about upcoming programming, meet staff and connect with members of the youth advisory council.
