Two pedestrians seriously injured Friday morning in the Sault

Two pedestrians suffered serious injuries after being struck by an SUV in Sault Ste. Marie. Police are asking witnesses or anyone with video to come forward.

Police in Sault Ste. Marie are seeking witnesses to a collision on Friday morning that left two young pedestrians with serious injuries.

The incident took place around 8:10 a.m. when a black SUV in the area of Second Line West and Whitney Avenue struck two young people.

“Both pedestrians sustained serious physical injuries and were transported to hospital,” police said in a news release.

“The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any physical injuries. The collision is being investigated by officers with traffic services.”

Police are hoping anyone who saw what happened or who has dash cam footage around that time in the area of the collision will contact them.
