One person has been charged with failure to yield following a collision Wednesday afternoon in Timmins. Timmins police said a four-door sedan headed south on Birch Street South failed to yield to a westbound pickup truck on Dale Avenue. The sedan stopped at a stop sign, but began driving again without noticing the truck heading past. The sedan collided with the truck’s rear wheel, police said, and ended up sliding sideways, encountering an uneven road surface and rolling onto the driver’s side. It slid for about 30 metres, police said. “No injuries, no damage to other properties in the area,” police said in an email to CTV News. “Driver of the sedan was charged with failing to yield to traffic.”
