Tires slashed at mobile ice cream business in North Bay

Police are investigating after two food trucks in North Bay were vandalized and had their tires slashed. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.

Ever Cool Icecream in North Bay said on social media Tuesday that its business has been a victim of tire slashing and arson.

Officials said they would be closed all day as a result.

“Tires have been slashed and arson,” the post said.

“This is a super serious matter. We are doing a cleanup right now and if anybody knows anything or seen anybody around our trailers last night, we would greatly appreciate any tips.”

The business said on social media that they believe cameras captured what happened.

Police investigating

“The police are looking into it and forensics got some evidence left behind,” the post said.

“Not a nice feeling, that’s for sure.”

In a news release, North Bay police said the incident was reported at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday and affected two businesses off Oak Street near the North Bay Museum.

“On arrival, police located two food trucks and an associated trailer belonging to two local businesses with all tires slashed,” police said.

“A suspected accelerant was also found near the vehicles ... At this time, it is unknown if this incident is connected to any other occurrences.”
