Police in Timmins say that the victim shot March 14 on Dwyer Avenue in the city has died, and the incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

Criminal investigators are continuing their search for the suspect believed to be responsible.

“Through the investigation, it was revealed that the two parties were known to each other,” police said in a news release Monday.

“The Timmins Police Service are requesting assistance from the public. Police have expanded their search area, and are requesting any dashcam footage or surveillance footage for the areas from Father Costello Drive at Highway 101 to Spruce Street in Timmins.”

Police are hoping to hear from people who have footage taken between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. on March 14.
