Thunder Bay woman faces intimate image, harassment charges

A 36-year-old local woman is facing multiple charges following an investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Cyber Crime Unit into the alleged distribution of intimate images and harassment.

“The investigation began in May, in response to a report regarding the distribution of private images without consent and harassment,” said police in a news release Wednesday.

As a result of the probe, the accused has been charged with three counts of distributing an intimate image without consent and two counts of criminal harassment for repeated communication.

The accused was released from custody with a future court date.

“The investigation into the matter remains ongoing,” said police.
