Three men are in hospital under police custody following a targeted altercation at a residence on Kathleen Street in Greater Sudbury on Monday. The Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a call for unknown trouble at about 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 26. Upon arrival, officers located three individuals outside a residence with serious cuts and lacerations. “All three individuals were transported to the hospital with serious injuries,” police said in a news release. Based on the initial investigation, police believe the three men were involved in an altercation inside a residence on Kathleen Street near Brebeuf Avenue, leading to all parties sustaining injuries. “Officers have recovered the weapons believed to have been used during the altercation,” said police. The three men, aged 32, 38 and 44, are facing weapons-related charges and remain in hospital in police custody. Kathleen Street was closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic as emergency responders dealt with the scene, but has since reopened.
