While it’s the first day of Oct., plans are already underway the 66th annual Santa Claus parade in downtown Sudbury. The organizing committee has scheduled the parade for downtown Sudbury on Sat. Nov. 21, with fireworks at 5:15 p.m. and step-off at 5:30 p.m., Downtown Sudbury said in a news release Wednesday “This parade belongs to the whole city,” said Jeff MacIntyre, executive director of Downtown Sudbury. “Every float, band and marching group is somebody’s workplace, team or club deciding to put on a show for their neighbours and we’d love to see yours on Elgin Street this year.” MacIntyre said float registration is now open and closes Fri. Nov. 13 at noon. The parade follows Ste. Anne Road, Elgin, Elm, Durham, Larch, Lisgar Street and Notre Dame Avenue.
