London police are investigating a fatal shooting in the downtown core that left a man dead. Police said officers were called to the area of Central Avenue and Richmond Street at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of a possible shooting. A man suffering from life-threatening injuries was located and transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. One man has been arrested and the investigation remains ongoing. Police said a visible presence will remain in the downtown area as investigators continue their work. Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and who may have information, dash-cam footage or residential or business surveillance video, to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
