CTV news has learned that in anticipation of possible appeal delays with the Kingsway Entertainment District, developer Dario Zulich has a temporary backup plan. Zulich has a bid in to buy the nearby *Chateau Gay Motel and Restaurant,* and is offering to build a basic and small casino there for gateway. Zulich says it's a way for *Gateway* to have something to move to... when its lease expires at Sudbury Downs in April of 2020. Gateway says it's looking at a number of options The company issued a statement to CTV, saying: "Gateway is committed to building a new casino and entertainment complex in the city of Sudbury and bringing jobs and investment to the community."
