One person was sent to hospital following a stabbing incident last week in Thunder Bay that injured three people. Police responded at 10 a.m. Aug. 6 to multiple reports of a stabbing incident in the Syndicate Avenue South and Donald Street East area. “On scene, three victims were located,” police said in a news release. “One individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, which are considered not to be life-threatening. Further investigation led to a suspect being identified.” Officers with the break, enter and robbery unit searched the area and arrested a suspect. A 45-year-old man from Webequie First Nation was charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault, resisting arrest and failing to comply with a release order. The accused was remanded into custody following their first court appearance.
