Sudbury's 23rd annual Bell Business Excellence Awards finalists and winners

Hear from some Bell Business Award winners The 23rd Annual Bell Business Excellence Awards were held last night and CTV's Molly Frommer talked today with some of the winners.

Sudbury — For 23 years, the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Bell Business Excellence Awards to not only recognize the contributions of local business owners, but to also learn from and about them.

From young entrepreneurs operating out of their home to established owners of international companies, this annual event is a celebration that recognizes businesses and entrepreneurs whose achievements and contributions to the community distinguish them from their peers.

The nominations are in and the judges have made their selections for this year's awards and here are the winners and the finalists:

Best Place to Work Winner - M.I.C. Canadian Eatery & Whisky Pub - Dave Gagnon, owner/operator

Company of the Year Winner - Cambrian Ford - Scott McCulloch, president

Entrepreneur of the Year Winner - Stitch & Stone - Gabrielle Roy, owner

Innovation Winner - Ionic Mechatronics - André Dumais, president, Ionic Technologies Group

Finalists:

Non-Profit/Charity Excellence Winner - Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC) - Dayna Caruso, executive director

Service Excellence  Winner - Total Nursing Care Inc. - Kathy Wells McNeil, owner/CEO

Finalists:

Small Enterprise Winner - Exceptional Painting Inc - Mihai Cristolovean, president

Finalists:

Young Entrepreneur of the Year Winner - Ashley Kirwan, co-founder, president, CEO & principal geologist of Orix Geoscience
