Sault police seek suspect in Mark’s Work Wearhouse theft

Sault police and Crime Stoppers ask for help identifying a suspect in a clothing theft from the Mark's Work Warehouse on Oct. 21, 2025.

Sault police are investigating a theft from a local business last month.

According to police, an unknown man attended the Mark’s Work Warehouse location on Great Northern Road on Oct. 21.

“An unknown male … selected assorted clothes valued between $600 and $1,000. The suspect draped the clothes over his arm and walked out of the store,” said officials with Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District in a news release.

Authorities said the man fled the area after being confronted by a store employee.

Portions of the incident were captured by video surveillance cameras, and Sault police and Crime Stoppers are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect.

“Do you recognize this individual?” asked Brian Lester, a director for local Crime Stoppers, in a related online video.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Sault police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
