UCCM Anishnaabe Police, with help from Ontario Provincial Police, are dealing with an active incident Tuesday afternoon Balsam Street in Sheshegwaning First Nation on Manitoulin Island. “Residents in the immediate area are asked to stay indoors, keep doors and windows locked, and avoid the area until further notice,” police said on social media. “Anyone in the surrounding neighbourhood is encouraged to remain vigilant and avoid the area while the investigation continues.
