On August 29, North Bay Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle going 182 km/h. OPP say they charged the driver, as well as 2 others in recent days, with stunt driving. Stunt driving is the charge for when speeders go 50 km/h over the posted limit. The minimum first-time fine for stunt driving is $2,000. As drivers will be hitting the road for the last long weekend of the summer, various police agencies and detachments are urging people to drive safely.
