Police investigate fatal ATV crash involving pickup

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal crash between a pickup truck and an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that left one person dead and another seriously injured.

The collision occurred on Grass Lake Road in Kearney shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday.

A 58-year-old individual from Grimsby was pronounced dead at the scene, while another person was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

OPP’s Almaguin Highlands detachment confirmed Sunday that the collision remains under investigation with support from the traffic incident management enforcement team.

“Further details will be released as they become available,” police said in a news release.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the circumstances of the crash, the identities of those involved or if any charges are pending.
