Police charge Toronto suspect with stunt driving on Hwy. 17

A 37-year-old from Toronto has been charged with stunt driving following an incident March 6 on Highway 17 west of North Bay.

Ontario Provincial Police said they timed the vehicle at 158 km/h in a 90 km/h zone around 5:30 p.m.

A 37-year-old driver was charged with stunt driving and careless driving. Those charges come with an automatic 30-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

The accused will appear in traffic court in May.
