A 36-year-old from Wawa was killed last weekend in a single-vehicle collision in an isolated area north of Wawa. Ontario Provincial Police responded Aug. 22 around 6:01 p.m. to a utility terrain vehicle rollover on a trail near Lochalsh, located 30 kilometres east of Dubreuilville. The driver “was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police said in a news release Aug. 24. “Members of the OPP northeast region traffic incident management and enforcement team are assisting with the investigation.”
