Married Timmins couple identified as victims of motorcycle crash Thursday

Sudbury — The Timmins Police Service has released the names of the two people killed Thursday in a crash involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and sidecar.

Orval Larocque, 64, and his spouse Pauline Larocque, 67, both of Timmins, succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The collision occurred on Municipal Road near the intersection of Girl Guide Camp Road at approximately 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

The couple's next-of-kin have been notified, police said.

"Post-mortem examinations have been called for and arrangements are being tended to by the local coroner’s office," police said in a news release Friday.

The investigation will focus on the cause of the collision.

"An intensive scan of the collision scene as well as the collection of all physical evidence was completed yesterday evening," police said.

"The vehicle involved will be subjected to a thorough mechanical assessment."
