Police in Thunder Bay, Ont., have arrested a 65-year-old inmate who had escaped from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre. Officers located and apprehended Anthony Patrick Frizzell around 1:30 a.m. on July 25, about nine-and-a-half hours after the escape was reported to the public. Public warning issued The Thunder Bay Police Service said officers began investigating on July 24 following a report from the facility. Police initially warned drivers in the city’s south end and along the Highway 61 corridor not to pick up hitchhikers. “If observed, please do not approach and call 911,” police said in a new release at 4 p.m. Saturday announcing Frizzell’s escape. Details limited Local police said Ontario Provincial Police assisted with the investigation. However, authorities have not disclosed where Frizzell was captured, when he escaped or how he left the correctional facility. “No further information is available at this time,” police said in an update Sunday morning.
