Ontario Provincial Police have charged two men and a woman with drug trafficking and other offences following a single-vehicle collision earlier this month on Highway 69. The crash took place July 23. While no one was injured, Ontario Provincial Police said officers found drugs suspected to be opioids inside the vehicle. As a result, a 17-year-old woman from Pickering, a 27-year-old man from Oshawa, and a 25-year-old man from Barrie were each charged with drug trafficking. In addition, the two men were charged with failing to comply with a release order. “The OPP remains committed to removing illegal drugs from our communities,” police said in a news release July 28. “If you suspect drug trafficking or other criminal activity, report it to your local police. Anonymous tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers.”
