CTV Northern Ontario has been nominated for two awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). The first nomination is for audio-video storytelling. Videographer Alex Lamothe captured the heart and passion needed for running a sugar shack in northern Ontario – and to produce that liquid gold. The other nomination is for feature news and our report on the 50th anniversary of the Chi-Cheemaun. The iconic ‘big canoe’ celebrated its golden anniversary of traversing the Great Lakes, ferrying tourists and northerners alike. The regional RTDNA awards will be announced June 4.
