A woman in her 50s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after the third-floor balcony she was standing on collapsed Wednesday afternoon. Urgences-Santé says the incident happened at an apartment building near the intersection of Sainte-Catherine Street East and de Ville-Marie Street, in the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. Paramedics say the woman suffered upper-body injuries, but her life is not believed to be in danger.
