A truck driver was arrested early Wednesday morning following a serious traffic collision in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, in the Quebec City region. Quebec provincial police say the man could face charges of impaired driving. The crash occurred around 5 a.m. Wednesday at an intersection on Sainte-Anne Boulevard. “A heavy truck collided with five vehicles that were stopped at a red light,” Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Béatrice Dorsainville told Noovo Info. The driver of one of the cars, who was alone in his vehicle, is now in critical condition in hospital. The four other people involved in the crash, who were also alone in their vehicles, sustained minor injuries. The truck driver was not seriously injured, said Dorsainville.
