Small earthquake felt near Quebec City

An earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale quivered across the Quebec City area on Wednesday morning.

The tremor was detected at 7:35 a.m. and did not cause any damage, according to Earthquakes Canada.

Its approximate location was three kilometres from the City of Beaupré and 33 kilometres from the province’s capital.
