Quebec lawyers and notaries ratify their tentative agreement

Government lawyers and notaries have just ratified the tentative agreement reached with the Quebec government regarding the renewal of their collective agreement.

The agreement was ratified by 99.2 per cent of members, the union announced on Wednesday.

It covers the main contingent of Quebec government lawyers and notaries, comprising 1,162 members in the public service unit, who work across 40 ministries and agencies.

Negotiations are continuing for the four other certification units represented by this union, namely those working at Revenu Quebec, the Société québécoise des infrastructures, the Régie de l’énergie and the Protecteur du citoyen.
