Patrick Watson, Angine de Poitrine highlight 2026 Montreal Jazz fest lineup

Jazz Fest programming director Maurin Auxemery speaks about the upcoming Montreal festival, including free shows from Patrick Watson and Angine de Poitrine.

Patrick Watson, Willow and Saint Levant highlight the roster for The Montreal International Jazz Festival at the end of June and early July.

Angine de Poitrine — the Saguenay duo of Khn, on double-necked guitar, and Klek, the drummer — is returning with their black-and-white, papier-mâché masked, polka-dot costumes to play a free concert at the TD Stage.

The 46th edition of the signature event in downtown Montreal at the Place des Festivals will feature over 350 concerts, the majority of which are free of charge.

Rising jazz stars Mohini Dey, Mei Semones, Annahstasia and Destine Conrad will also play, as the festival celebrates what would have been Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Tony Bennett’s 100th birthdays.

A “We Want Miles-A Miles Davis Centennial Celebration” concert will honour the legendary trumpet player, a “Modes of Coltrane” show will pay tribute to Trane, and “John Pizzarelli sings Bennett” will play at the Theatre Maisonneuve.

“The programming for the 46th FIJM is a testament to the great jazz family tree, which has flourished for more than 100 years,” said director of programming Maurin Auxéméry.

“Across its many branches, we celebrate the genre’s pivotal moments and living legacy, while introducing the artists shaping its future. Montréal remains a vital hub for jazz, and this is an event you won’t want to miss.”
