A Montreal man who bought his Lotto 6/49 ticket online says he thought he was dreaming when he woke up to learn he’d won the $5-million Classic Jackpot. Christopher Morris matched all six numbers in the Oct. 29 draw, and discovered the news the following morning while scrolling through his inbox. He had purchased his ticket on Loto-Québec’s website. Morris said he saw an email from the Loto-Québec on Oct. 30 but wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary. When he opened the message and saw the amount, he put his phone down on his bedside table, convinced it couldn’t be real. A few minutes later, he logged into his online gaming account to double-check, then contacted Loto-Québec to confirm the life-changing win. Morris says he plans to invest his winnings in real estate. This is the eighth time that the Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot has been won in Quebec since January.
