Despite delays, the head of ADM Aéroports de Montréal still expects the light-rail train (REM) station at Montréal-Trudeau Airport to be delivered in 2027. ADM president and CEO Yves Beauchamp reiterated this goal in a speech before the Canadian Club of Montreal Monday. Between now and 2027, CDPQ Infra will have had the opportunity to find solutions to the technical glitches experienced by the light rail system, Beauchamp added in an interview. Passengers will have to be patient before the REM arrives, as ADM is carrying out several construction projects that are disrupting traffic flow to Montreal-Trudeau Airport. The REM should ease some of the pressure on airport facilities. Beauchamp expects that a quarter of passengers will use the light rail system.
