A minor was sent to hospital with serious injuries early Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Montreal’s Anjou borough, police say. At around 5:40 p.m., Montreal police received a 911 call reporting a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of Châteauneuf Boulevard and Guy Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim with a lower-body injury. The individual was conscious when they were sent to hospital and their life is not in danger, according to police spokesperson Anne-Sophie Simard. The minor’s age has been not released. Part of Châteauneuf Boulevard was closed for a brief period and has since been reopened to traffic. The investigation is ongoing.
