Two children were rushed to the hospital late Thursday afternoon after being struck by a driver in North York. The collision happened shortly after 4 p.m. near Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue. Paramedics said they transported the two victims to hospital, one with non-life-threatening injuries and the other with minor injuries. The driver remained at the scene. Traffic Service later told CP24 that an eight-year-old girl and a six-year-old boy were walking with a caregiver when they were bit by a vehicle. The kids sustained non-life-threatening injuries, they said. Jane Street was closed between Shoreham Drive and Driftwood Avenue due to the police investigation, but has since re-opened.
