A man is recovering in the hospital after being assaulted in Montreal’s Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough. Police (SPVM) responded to a 911 call at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday night after a man was attacked on Saint-Zotique Street east near 14th Avenue. On scene, emergency responders found a 32-year-old man with serious injuries to his head. He was treated and immediately transported to the hospital. He was conscious during transport, and the injuries are considered non-life-threatening. “The victim may have been assaulted by at least one unknown assailant,” said SPVM spokesperson Johany Charland. Officers have not determined what caused the injuries, and the investigation is underway. Once the victim’s condition improves, police will try to determine what led to the attack.
