Montreal police are investigating a homicide after a man in his 20s died in “unknown circumstances” in a residential building in Anjou Wednesday afternoon. Officers say they received 911 calls around 4:30 p.m. about “possible gunshots” in a home on des Ormeaux Avenue near Georges Avenue in the Anjou borough. When they arrived on-site, police found a man in his 20s with serious injuries to the upper body. Police did not confirm the nature of the injuries but said the man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. A perimeter has been established and the investigation is ongoing. Police said the man’s death is the 20th homicide of 2025.
