A man has been arrested after police were told a man with a knife was chasing people on Lakeside Drive in Kitchener. Waterloo Regional Police Service officers were called to the area around 2:30 p.m. and found the suspect soon after. A 38-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, causing a disturbance, assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest, assault with a weapon, five count of mischief under $5,000 and five counts of assault.
