Longueuil police (SPAL) say they arrested a man in relation to an armed assault at a high school on Montreal’s South Shore Friday afternoon. According to SPAL spokesperson Jacqueline Pierre, police were called to Jacques Rousseau High School around 12:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly had a sharp object as a weapon. There were no injuries reported. By the time police arrived, the man had been controlled by school staff. Pierre said police believe the suspect is someone from the school.
