A 52-year-old man is in critical condition in the hospital after getting pinned to a wall by a boat trailer that was backing up. Montreal police (SPVM) said that emergency services responded to a call at 7:30 a.m. after the trailer struck the man on the corner of Dumas and Allard streets in the Southwest borough. Paramedics provided assistance to the man who was in cardiac arrest. “It appears that the driver of a vehicle, a 77-year-old man, was backing up when a 52-year-old man became trapped between a trailer and a wall,” said SPVM spokesperson Emmanuel Provencher. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Later in the day, police confirmed that this condition stabilized. The police investigation is ongoing.
