Lamborghini veers off road after short police chase on Montreal’s South Shore

A chase between Sûreté du Québec (SQ) officers and an individual driving a Lamborghini took place overnight from Friday to Saturday on Highway 15.

Around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, SQ officers spotted a Lamborghini travelling at a very high speed.

“The officers signalled to the driver their intention to pull him over, but he refused to stop,” said Sûreté du Québec (SQ)Frédéric Deshaies, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). A chase ensued but was quickly cut short due to the vehicle’s extremely high speed."

The Lamborghini then veered off the road near Route 132 in Saint-Lambert.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Varennes, sustained minor injuries. Authorities arrested him for dangerous driving and fleeing the scene.

The individual was subsequently released and will appear in court at a later date, Deshaies said.
