Just for Laughs announces first full lineup for Montreal festival in two years

Under new management following financial troubles, the Just for Laughs comedy festival announced its lineup for 2025.

Russell Peters, Kumail Nanjiani and Tom Segura are among the headliners confirmed at the 2025 Just For Laughs festival in July.

Public ticket sales open May 12 for the festival, which will run from July 16 to 27 at the Quartier des Spectacles in the heart of Montreal’s downtown.

“Just For Laughs is back — and this moment is one of true gratitude,” said Just for Laughs president and CEO Sylvain Parent-Bédard. “As we find our voice again, we do so with heart, humility, and profound gratitude.”

The festival returned in 2024 with a scaled-down event after ComediHa! acquired the financially troubled Just For Laughs comedy company’s assets.

Just for Laughs had cancelled its Montreal and Toronto festivals earlier in the year and sought creditor protection.

“This return isn’t ours alone,” said Parent-Bédard. It’s a collective achievement. A shared belief that comedy has the power to unite, soothe, and inspire — now more than ever. Let’s keep building together. Let’s keep laughing, together.”

Among the other highlights for the 2025 show include the Just for Laughs Galas and Roast Battle Canada, which will be taped in front of live audiences for later broadcast.

In addition, there will be two free outdoor shows at the Place des Festivals stage.

Adam Ray is Dr. Phil Live will take place on July 24, and Segura’s “Come Together” show will close the festival on July 26.
