Here are the weekend road closures for the Montreal area

Drivers in and around Montreal should be aware that construction projects will result in some major closures over the weekend.

Planning trips in advance is advised.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge (Route-138)

• From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., the Montreal-bound span of the bridge will be closed in addition to the ramps leading towards the bridge from Route-138 eastbound (from Châteauguay) and Route-132 westbound (from La Prairie).

To get downtown, drivers are advised to use the Samuel De Champlain Bridge.

Highway 25

• From Saturday at 11 p.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m., Highway 25 South will be closed between exit 5 (R-138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street) and the Souligny Avenue access.
• Note: the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel will remain open and accessible from Souligny Avenue heading east.

Viger Avenue West

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Viger Avenue West will be closed between Saint-Denis and Sanguinet streets.

Sainte-Croix Avenue

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one of four lanes will close on Sainte-Croix Avenue northbound, under Highway 40.

Côte-de-Liesse Road

• From Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., two of four lanes will be closed on Côte-de-Liesse West between Houde Street and Sainte-Croix Avenue.

Des Moulins Road

• On Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., des Moulins Road will be closed under the Bonaventure Highway (A-10)

Saint-Jean-Baptiste Boulevard (Châteauguay)

• From Saturday at 6 a.m. to Sunday at 4 p.m., one lane will be open in each direction on Route -132/R-138 between Sainte-Marguerite Boulevard and Lauzon Street.
• LISTEN to CJAD 800 Radio for traffic updates every 15 minutes.

All work may be subject to cancellation due to weather or operational constraints.
