The terms of this fund will need to be agreed upon with the audiovisual community and the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC). The Coalition Avenir Québec wants to increase the tax credit for film and television production services (CSPC) by 10% to encourage foreign productions to film in Quebec. It also aims to extend this tax credit to Quebec reality TV shows. Finally, Christine Fréchette plans to add $100 million to SODEC’s interim funding. The total budget will therefore reach $200 million. The CAQ estimates the cost of its various measures at $420 million.
